Originally from Normandy, members of the Le Petit family followed different paths, with some settling in Paris and others in Boulogne-sur-Mer.
Étienne Le Petit arrived in the region during the time of Napoleon Bonaparte. A talented draftsman, he contributed to the design of flat-bottomed boats and to the expansion of the ports of Boulogne-sur-Mer and Wimereux.
Deeply rooted in the region, my great-great-grandfather eventually settled in Calais.
